UPDATE 12/29/12

We are happy to announce that Petey will be spending the New Year in his new home!  Petey went home with his new Mom yesterday and will surely be spoiled forever!

Little Petey was rushed to AWL after he was found hit by a car.  Staff was unsure at first that Petey would survive his accident.  Poor Petey suffered major head trauma but miraculously had no broken bones.  The swelling to Petey's head has now gone down and the only major effect seems to be a slight head tilt when walking about. 

Petey gets along well with other dogs.  In fact, his best friend at the shelter is a 4 month old German Shepherd named jax who suffers from seizures.  The two love playtime together and will even crawl into each other's cages for kisses and cuddles.  Petey will be looking for his forever family as soon as the vet feels that his condition has stabalized.
