UPDATE 10/4/2012

Peekers has found her forever home.  Her eye healed very nicely and did not have to be removed. She went to a wonderful family with older children and another dog.  Peekers will live out the rest of her life spoiled, happy and part of the family!

Peekers was rushed to our shelter after being squeezed too hard by the child living in the home.  Her family decided to give her up to AWL because they could not afford medical care.  Peekers was quickly taken to surgery where her eye was put back into the socket and her eyelid was stitched partially shut to hold it in place.  She is currently resting comfortably in a foster home while healing.
