Fonzie's owners gave him up to our shelter because he had been hit by a car.  It turns out that Fonzie's injuries were pretty serious.

Both his pelvis and back left leg were fractured.  He had a femoral head osectomy (FHO) in his left and right rear legs and needed pins inserted into the breaks in his rear left leg and pelvis.  Fonzie will be recovering on complete cage rest, for at least the next six weeks, until he can have the pins removed.

Little Fonzie is a male Schnauzer mix, just 5 months old.  He has certainly been a trooper through everything in the past few days.  His sweet disposition has won over the staff here already.  More updates on Fonzie's condition will be given as they are made available.
