Full Time Veterinarian

We are seeking a full or part time enthusiastic and compassionate veterinarian for an established multi-doctor full-service clinic.  We are located minutes from Chicago in the Southwest Suburbs. Our veterinary team consists of a group of people that truly believe in pet medicine and for us, it’s more than a job; it’s a way of life. 

We have all the support our new doctor will need. Our facility includes 5 exam rooms, surgery, digital radiography and in house laboratory equipped with Idexx Catalyst, Lasercyte and Snap readers.  Our practice is very busy both in volume and variety of cases that we see.  We have highly trained and technically skilled support staff.  We pride ourselves in practicing progressive medicine.

We welcome new veterinarians.  As a DVM you will contribute your expertise, ability to build strong relationships with good ‘bedside’ manner to educate the clients.  With a strong work ethic and will support our practice. 

Responsibilities

·         Responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment.

·         Performing surgeries as required. This includes, but is not limited to, spay and neuter, soft tissue surgery and emergency surgery. There is also a great opportunity for orthopedic surgery so interest in this area is a plus.

·         Performing surgeries is not required due to our client volume there is the option to see clients only.

·         Promote continuing development of medical care through continued education.

·         Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans and preventive health care.

·         Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.

Qualifications

·         A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD)

·         License in good standing with the state of Illinois veterinarian board.

Certified Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a full-time enthusiastic and compassionate certified veterinarian technician for an established multi-doctor full-service clinic.  We are located minutes from Chicago in the Southwest Suburbs. Our veterinary team consists of a group of people that truly believe in pet medicine and for us, it’s more than a job; it’s a way of life.  What sets us apart from other veterinary hospitals is our love for animals, because each one of our team members genuinely loves providing veterinary care.

Veterinarian Technician will support the veterinarian in ensuring quality care for all pets.  We are looking for a qualified veterinarian technician that has strong technical skills, be self-motivated, able to work well with others and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

·         Restrain dogs and cats for various procedures

·         Effectively communicate recommended care to our clients

·         Catheter placement, able to administer SQ/IM/IV injections

·         Perform in-house lab testing such as  urinalysis, fecal and CBC

·         Digital radiology

·         Blood draws

·         Certified Veterinarian Technician or Assistant

FULL TIME KENNEL ATTENDANT

Applicant must be reliable, responsible and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Duties include cleaning and maintaining kennel areas. Perform related housekeeping duties. Deal courteously with the public. Handle animals safely and effectively. Participates in the intake of animals received, reclaimed by owners, and adoptions. Feeds and waters all animals in the shelter. Monitors shelter animals for health, temperament, and available kennel space. Cleans and disinfects animal runs, kennels, cages, receiving areas, holding areas, and laundry to ensure the health and well-being of the animal population.

Tasks require the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials.

EXPERIENCED CASHIER/CUSTOMER SERVICE

For high volume veterinarian clinic and animal shelter. Duties include greeting clients, answering phones, general customer service with a proactive mannerism. Cashier duties include balancing a cash drawer, entering transactions into register and computer, sort/count currency, issue receipts and invoices, process credit card and check payments. Applicants must have a strong background handling money and cashier responsibilities.  Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and have a high level of dedication and personal responsibility. Ideal candidates will also be detail-orientated, dependable, honest and a team player. Bilingual a plus. FULL TIME CUSTODIAN

We are seeking a full time (32-40 hours per week) Custodian for our busy veterinarian clinic and animal shelter. The shift for this position will be 11:00am-7:30pm, 3-4 days a week and Saturdays are required.

Duties for this position will include but will not be limited to:

** You must be able to lift up to 40lbs
